All-Ceramic Split Ring Resonator for Wireless High-Temperature Sensing

This research proposes a new alumina ceramic-based wireless passive temperature sensor. Using screen printing techniques, split ring resonator is created on an ceramic substrate. In this design, both the substrate material and sensitive are ceramic, size of design adjusted optimized to improve sensitivity detection. By measuring insertion loss electromagnetic waves (S21), resonant characteristics sensor can be obtained with change in temperature, so as achieve purpose sensing current ambient temperature. The simulation results show that variation range dielectric constant 9.8 11 at 200 °C–1000 °C, frequency decreases from 5.9 GHz 5.55 GHz, measurement 0.438 MHz/°C. high-temperature has being wireless, passive, flat low-profile; it high strong anti-interference ability; adapt variety harsh working environments also widely used military, aerospace traffic manufacturing.
